Three Reasons to Remove Invasive Plants

Homeowners often want to know an easy way to dramatically improve their landscape. One of the easiest things we can think of is to remove invasive plants.

1)    Removing invasive vines from the garden, and especially those growing up the trees, is an easy way to make a dramatic impact in the landscape. How nice it will be to actually see your trees, their interesting bark, and not have the limbs dripping with euonymus and English ivy.

2)    Free up valuable space in your landscape for plants you will actually enjoy and that are loved and needed by our native pollinators. When you can have a viburnum with gorgeous fall berries, or a native understory tree that blooms as early as January, why wouldn’t you want to eradicate the honeysuckle? There are so many better options than honeysuckle.

3)    Some groundcover is great. Large stands of high maintenance groundcover is never a good thing. There are easier plants to manage than euonymus and English Ivy. There are also native grasses that stay short, look impressive through winter, have lovely fall color, and only need cutting once a year.

Break free of hard to maintain, invasive, unattractive plants once and for all!  We can help.
